OB-BRIDGE: Android App for Vehicle Data Extraction
OB-BRIDGE, developed by HKS Co. Ltd., is an Android application that extracts vehicle data from the On Board Diagnostics port (OBD) and sends it via Bluetooth to an Android device such as a smartphone or tablet. This application is only available for customers who have purchased HKS OB-LINK. OB-BRIDGE obtains the vehicle data from OB-LINK and sends it to another application that displays the data on the Android device. It is important to note that OB-BRIDGE must be used with a display application such as Carscope, which is available for download on Google Play.
However, it is essential to use OB-BRIDGE responsibly. It is advised not to use, operate, or look at your Android device and OB-BRIDGE while driving. Additionally, it is recommended to use your Android device under appropriate temperature and humidity conditions mentioned in the manual of your device. Using, placing, or leaving your Android device under extreme hot conditions might cause breakdown, battery leakage, explosion, heat-generation, fire, and deterioration of performance and/or life of the device. Moreover, the application might frequently access the Internet, so it is suggested to sign up for flat-rate access services to the Internet for greater savings with respect to your packet communication fee.
